Many companies today—including those in IT and beyond—are embracing Agile ways of working. But Agile isn’t something new. Think about how we all learned to walk: we tried, we failed, we fell, we adjusted, and we tried again. That’s Agile.
Unfortunately, the role of a Scrum Master is often misunderstood and underrated. Many perceive it as merely administrative—someone who just schedules meetings and facilitates ceremonies. But that’s far from the truth. A Scrum Master is not a secretary, but a catalyst for change. Agile is not just a process—it’s a mindset, and the Scrum Master is the one who works tirelessly to shift and nurture that mindset.
As a people-oriented leader with over a decade in IT, I build high-performing Agile teams grounded in strategic thinking, empathy, and fairness. My true strength lies in driving mindset shifts—not just enforcing processes—which unlocks the real value of Agile. By fostering collaboration, removing blockers, and optimizing delivery, I’ve helped increase customer satisfaction by 20%, reduce cycle time by 15%, and boost team velocity by 30%, all while maintaining consistent performance over time.
I focus on meaningful, measurable transformation that accelerates outcomes and leaves a lasting impact.
I was fearless, bold, and full of enthusiasm in my 20s—like most of us are. Life was in full swing: roaming around the jungles with my sweet little family, participating in intercollegiate competitions with friends, and constantly learning new things. Every day brought excitement, energy, and purpose.
I began my career with an incredibly innovative company—Intellect Control Systems—as a developer. It was my first job, and naturally, it holds a special place in my heart. I learned so much there and even worked on a project involving a C-Assembly compiler—a unique and challenging experience that built my technical foundation.
In 2007, I got married—and life took a 360° turn. I moved to a new city, then a new country, and soon had a baby on the way. While those years brought many beautiful personal moments, my career journey became bumpy. I couldn’t keep up with the professional momentum I once had, and that weighed heavily on me.
After nearly seven years of ups and downs, I finally resumed my career with Infosys, stepping in as a QA professional. It was here that I was introduced to Agile ways of working—and that changed everything. I began to understand what Agile truly meant, how it’s practiced professionally, and the importance of ceremonies, collaboration, and continuous improvement. As I grew into a Test Lead, I also grew deeper into the Agile mindset.
When I joined HSBC, the organization was undergoing a SAFe transformation—which deeply fascinated me. I started working closely with my Scrum Master, shadowing him during ceremonies, gathering metrics, and generating meaningful reports. Over time, I learned to interpret those reports, identify patterns, and support decision-making. It was during this phase that I decided to fully embrace the Scrum Master path. Alongside gaining real-world experience, I equipped myself technically by earning certifications like PSM I and SAFe Practitioner.
Eventually, I joined ABS, where I now work full-time as a Scrum Master. But I’m not just facilitating ceremonies—I’m delivering value. By fostering collaboration, removing impediments, and optimizing delivery, I’ve helped increase customer satisfaction by 20%, reduce cycle time by 15%, and boost team velocity by 30%. Most importantly, I’ve contributed to sustainable, meaningful transformation that drives outcomes and leaves a lasting impact.
